World Fish Migration Day
Friends of Herring River celebrates World Fish Migration Day at Gull Pond in Wellfleet. Presentations include an overview of this year's herring run by Barbara Brennessel, a talk given by John Portnoy tracing the migratory path of the herring from Wellfleet Harbor to the estuary's four headwater spawning ponds, a "Trail Tale" inspired by the book "The Adventures of Allie the Alewife', a make-your-own fish ornament activity, and much more.

In Search of Diamondback Terrapins and Their Nests
Join Barbara Brennessel, PhD and FHR Board Member, for a walk along the marsh path from the Great Island parking lot to the end of the Gut looking for terrapins, tracks and nest signs. This walk is free and open to the public. Limit 10 participants.
