Join scientists Barbara Brennessel, John Portnoy and Jackie Fouse to retrieve oyster spat collectors in the Herring River Estuary. The collectors were secured to the bottom at low tide in sections of the River to establish pre-restoration baselines for oyster settlement. Participants will hear about the environmental conditions that will allow for increased shellfishing acitvity when tidal flow is restored to the Estuary.
