Herring River Executive Council (HREC)

With the September 21, 2016 signing of the Final Memorandum of Understanding (MOU III), the Herring River Executive Council (HREC) was formed. This is an intergovernmental team that will direct the Herring River Restoration Project.

The most recent Memorandum of Understanding (MOU IV) revised the HREC to consist of three representatives from the town of Wellfleet and two from the Cape Cod National Seashore. HREC members, current as of March 2023, are listed below.
