OUR ReSTORATION PARTNERS

Friends of Herring River (FHR) is an essential partner on the Herring River Restoration Project, obtaining and administering millions of dollars in contracted services and providing the non-construction project management. The Herring River Technical Team informs requisite scopes of work/contract details. For this work, FHR collaborates and supports representatives of the Herring River Restoration Project co-owners (Town of Wellfleet MA + National Park Service Cape Cod National Seashore) plus many funders (including National Fish & Wildlife Service, not pictured below.

Since 2024, FHR also directly works (fieldwork, ecological monitoring, data analysis/reporting, consultation, and subawards) at several other saltmarsh restorations in Waquoit Bay and on Outer Cape Cod.
