HERRING RIVER RESTORATION PROJECT: LOW LYING ROADS – CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

New England Boring Contractors will be conducting geotechnical boring work at five locations along the low-lying roads stretching from Pole Dike Road and Bound Brook Island Road in Wellfleet north to Lombard Hollow along Old County Road in South Truro.

This work, originally scheduled to take place the week of February 19th, has been rescheduled to take place the week of February 26th. The contractor anticipates conducting one boring per day, for a total of five days of work from February 26th through March 1st.

The contractor anticipates staging their drill rig in a fashion that will permit one lane of traffic around the drilling operations. In the event that this is not feasible, a detour route will be established for traffic. A police detail will be present to assist with traffic management.
