In March 2025, tidal flow of Herring River in Wellfleet, Massachusetts was transitioned from the old dike culverts to the tidal gates in the southern bay of the new Chequessett Neck Road Bridge and Water Control Structure, currently under construction within the Herring River Restoration Project.
